NVQ's

QCF Level 2 NVQ Certificates and Diplomas in Plant Operations (Construction)

Operators needing to upgrade their CPCS Red Trained Plant Operator Card, or Operators who wish to go direct to a CPCS Blue Experienced Operator Card, have to complete the above qualification in order to gain the CPCS Blue Experienced Operator Card.

There are two routes to be able to complete the NVQ Qualification specific to the category(s) on the Operator’s card.

Cranes and Specialist Lifting Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes
• Hoists
• Lorry Loaders and Knuckle Boom Cranes
• Skip Handlers

Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction)
Forklift Trucks

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• Rough Terrain Masted Forklifts
• Industrial Counterbalanced Forklifts
• Sideloader Forklifts
• Telescopic Handlers
• Reach Trucks

Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction)
Extracting Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• Wheeled Loading Shovels
• Skidsteer Loaders

Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction)
Transporting Loads Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• Forward Tipping Dumpers
• Rear Tipping Dumpers
• Agricultural-based Tractors
• Trailer Mounted Concrete Pumps

 
Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction)
Accessing Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) – Scissor Lift
• Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) – Boom

Level 2 Diploma in Plant Operations (Construction)
Extracting Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• 180⁰ Excavators
• Tracked Loading Shovels
• Trenchers
• 360⁰ Excavators

Level 2 Diploma in Plant Operations (Construction)
Excavating Plant

This is the appropriate NVQ for Operators who hold the following Categories:-

• 180⁰ Excavators
• Crawler/Tractor Dozers
• Trenchers
• 360⁰ Excavators
